Why Choose TLS Thermochrome?
Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract, a potent antioxidant, is used primarily for fighting free radicals. It also promotes thermogenesis and fat metabolism without increasing the heart rate. Green tea extract has been used to promote health for centuries in India and China. A number of health benefits are related to regular consumption of green tea and dried/powdered extracts of green tea that are available in some dietary supplements. The active components in green tea are a family of polyphenols (catechins) and flavonols, which possess powerful antioxidant activity. Tannins, large polyphenol molecules, form the bulk of the active compounds in green tea, with catechins comprising nearly 90 percent. Several catechins are present in major quantities; epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin gallate (ECG) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG makes up around 10 to 50 percent of the total catechin content and appears to be the most powerful of all the catechins — with antioxidant activity about 25 to 100 times more powerful than vitamins C and E. A number of green tea extracts are standardized to total polyphenol content and/or EGCG content.
Green tea extract has been shown to promote cardiovascular health via helping to maintain healthy levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, and normal platelet activity. It is a potent immune enhancer, displaying phenomenal antioxidant qualities and has been found to support weight loss.
Advantra Z® Citrus Aurantium
Advantra Z is the only patented citrus aurantium extract for weight loss and physical performance on the market today. This ingredient serves as an ideal alternative to the herb, Ma Huang/Ephedra. Citrus aurantium, also known as bitter orange extract, is most commonly used to help control appetite and to support normal digestion. Citrus Aurantium comes from a flowering, fruit-bearing evergreen tree native to tropical Asia. However, it is now widely cultivated in the Mediterranean region and elsewhere. The small, unripened fruits are a traditional flavoring in the liqueur Curacao, and the peel, fresh or dried, promotes a healthy digestive tract. Research shows that Advantra Z supports beta-3 cell receptors with minimal impact on alpha 1,2 and beta 1,2 receptors which means Advantra Z promotes a healthy metabolic rate (thermogenesis) without affecting heart rate or blood pressure unlike Ma Huang/Ephedra. It helps the body to build lean muscle, helps increase physical performance by making fat available for energy and stimulates weight loss by promoting thermogenesis.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an essential nutrient for humans, needed for metabolic reactions in the body. Around 90 percent of vitamin C in the average American diet derives from fruits and vegetables. Peppers (sweet, green and red peppers and hot red and green chili peppers) are especially rich in vitamin C. Other good sources include citrus fruits and juices, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, collards, mustard greens, broccoli, spinach, guava, kiwi fruit, currants and strawberries. Nuts and grains contain smaller amounts of vitamin C. It is important to note that cooking destroys vitamin C activity.
Vitamin C is integral in promoting a healthy immune system, with strong antioxidant properties. Thus, ascorbic acid may be the most important water-soluble antioxidant in the body. Vitamin C supports the detoxification of some heavy metals, such as lead and other toxic chemicals. It promotes the normal synthesis of collagen and normal healing, and helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels. The ascorbic acid form of Vitamin C is involved in mediating iron absorption, transport and storage. It promotes the normal intestinal absorption of iron and may promote iron storage in cells. It is involved in the biosynthesis of corticosteroids, aldosterone and the conversion of cholesterol to bile acids.
Vitamin C is an essential vitamin for dieters because it needs to be replenished during the thermogenic process. It aids in slowing the oxidation of B vitamins, which can help lessen occasional fatigue. Because of its ability to promote normal healing, it may be helpful in maintaining muscle comfort for individuals who engage in strenuous exercise. Vitamin C is also essential for the production of adrenalin. More importantly, vitamin C aids dieters by supporting the biological pathways that support fat metabolism, fat burning, production of protein and neutralizing free radicals.
Vitamin B6 is a co-factor that promotes normal protein and amino acid metabolism and helps maintain proper fluid balance. It also assists in the maintenance of healthy red and white blood cells. B6 promotes normal hemoglobin synthesis. Vitamin B6 promotes healthy synthesis of neurotransmitters in brain and peripheral nerve cells. It has been recommended as a nutrient to support normal mental function, specifically mood, and it supports normal nerve conduction. Vitamin B6, when taken with folic acid, has been shown to help maintain normal plasma levels of homocysteine, which promotes optimal cardiovascular health.
Vitamin B6 promotes normal metabolism by supporting the normal production of proteins and the normal synthesis of ATP to supply fuel to the body. Some athletic supplements include vitamin B6 because it promotes the normal conversion of glycogen to glucose for energy in muscle tissue. It also helps support the normal absorption and utilization of dietary fats. Vitamin B6 is an essential co-factor for the production of energy and increases the body’s resistance to fatigue. Poultry, fish, whole grains and bananas are the main dietary sources of vitamin B6.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)
Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, supports normal growth, reproduction and normal physiological functions. It plays a key role in more than 100 metabolic functions, which include energy metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. Pantothenic acid is widely distributed in plant and animal food sources, where it occurs in both bound and free forms. Food sources of vitamin B5 include organ meats (liver, kidney), egg yolk, avocados, cashew nuts and peanuts, brown rice, soya, lentils, broccoli and milk, with the richest sources of the vitamin being the ovaries of cod and tuna. Vitamin B5 deficiencies are rare, but have been associated with feelings of sadness, a weakened immune response and low energy.
Magnesium, a mineral, functions as a coenzyme to promote normal nerve and muscle function, regulation of body temperature, energy metabolism, DNA and RNA synthesis, and the formation of bones. There is preliminary evidence that shows that magnesium may help with mild symptoms of PMS. The majority of the body’s magnesium, about 60 percent, is found in the bones. Magnesium is involved in over 300 metabolic reactions and is necessary for every major biological process. It is an alkaline earth metal and exists under physiological conditions in its divalent state. Magnesium is intimately interlocked biologically with calcium, and they cooperate in promoting the normal production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Magnesium acts as nature’s physiological calcium channel blocker because it appears to promote the normal regulation of the intracellular flow of calcium ions.
Nearly 75 percent of the American population fails to consume enough magnesium in their diets; therefore, supplements may be warranted in some cases, particularly those concerned with bone metabolism. Dietary sources that include magnesium are artichokes, nuts, beans, whole grains and shellfish.
Chromium is a vital trace mineral that forms part of a compound in the body known as glucose tolerance factor (GTF), which promotes the normal regulation of insulin in helping to maintain normal blood sugar levels, and possibly, in helping to control appetite. Chromium also supports normal glucose metabolism. Chromium supports the body’s normal use of sugar, protein and fat. It supports cells in the normal intake of glucose and release of energy. Chromium may also help to reduce body fat and increases muscle mass. More than 90 percent of American diets do not provide the recommended amount of chromium.
It exists in several valence states, with the trivalent and hexavalent states being the most common. Chromium is found in small amounts in many foods and is usually present in the trivalent state. Food sources of chromium include brewer’s yeast, whole grain cereals, broccoli, prunes, mushrooms, beer, spices, brown sugar, coffee, tea, beer, wine and meat products. Refined foods, fruits and vegetables contain smaller amounts of chromium.
Guarana, also called Brazilian Cocoa, is used to alleviate occasional fatigue and promote thermogenesis, and the burning of calories. Guarana is a stimulant that increases subjective energy levels and helps alleviate occasional fatigue. It facilitates weight loss by enhancing thermogenesis. Guarana is a source of caffeine, and can be taken in a powder form or mixed with water or juice. Some of the effects of caffeine include promoting a healthy heartbeat and maintaining healthy blood vessels. Caffeine may promote normal platelet activity, promote the production of digestive enzymes and support the urinary system.
Guarana is an exotic herb that is found on an evergreen vine that grows up to 30 feet high in the Amazon rainforest. Similar to coffee beans, its seeds are peeled, dried, roasted, ground and made into beverages. In Brazil, it has become part of a popular drink when fermented and mixed with water and cassava.
How do I know if I am overweight?
One way to determine whether you are overweight or obese is to take a Body Mass Index test. This test is available on various websites online, and it displays the relationship between your weight and height, and provides you with your personal BMI. You can also consult your physician. With this information, you can determine what steps you need to take to achieve your optimal weight.
How can being overweight adversely affect my health?
Being overweight may soon overtake smoking as the leading cause of preventable deaths in the United States, according to the U.S. Surgeon General. There are an estimated 97 million Americans who are classified as being overweight or obese. Each year, an estimated 300,000 people die prematurely due to being overweight; only smoking-related deaths are higher. Obesity takes many lives, even though it is a highly preventable form of disease.
How can you reduce your weight and stay at an optimal weight?
There are three major ways to effectively reduce your weight: Begin an exercise program, adjust your lifestyle and watch your diet.
What steps do I need to take to adjust my lifestyle?
The first step to adjusting your lifestyle is to develop a dietary plan that works for you as an individual. To incorporate exercise in your life, you should choose activities that you find enjoyable, and exercise for at least 20 to 30 minutes at least three times a week. Also, set reasonable goals, and give yourself rewards when you achieve them.
What is an example of a diet to follow?
When choosing a diet, try to avoid hard-to-follow fad diets. A good plan is to avoid eating late at night. Eat healthy, small, frequent meals that include raw fruits and vegetables during the day. It is good to reduce your fat intake to less than 30 percent of your total calories and get at least 25-35 grams of fiber per day. Also, you should try to drink eight to 10 glasses of water daily. You can use dietary supplements to help maximize your body’s metabolism, and make sure that your caloric intake is less than your caloric expenditure. Even small differences in the calories you intake and expend can lead to weight loss. Decreasing your caloric intake just 100 calories a day can result in a 10-pound weight loss in one year without even exercising. A low glycemic diet, such as TLS Weight Loss Solution, which incorporates nutrition, exercise, supplements and a healthy lifestyle, is ideal for optimal weight loss.*
Is it harmful to use appetite suppressants?
Appetite suppressants are designed for individuals that have easily triggered appetites. Individuals who eat when they smell food, get bored or are emotional eaters benefit the most from appetite suppressants. Appetite suppressants will prevent you from getting hungry at inappropriate times of the day and will assist you in your weight loss efforts by preventing some of the mindless or excessive eating that may be preventing you from reaching your weight loss goals.
Is it harmful to be a yo-yo dieter?
Yes, it is harmful because it sends your body into defense mode. Defense mode slows the body’s basal metabolic rate to stop your body from starving. When you have a slower than normal basal metabolic rate, it becomes much harder to lose weight. The key is to have a consistent lifestyle that incorporates nutrition with supplements and exercise, such as TLS Weight Loss Solution.*
If I have high blood pressure can I take this product?
No. You should not take this product if you have high blood pressure.
What products can I use in conjunction with TLS Thermochrome with Advantra Z?
Pair TLS Thermochrome with TLS CORE, TLS CLA, and the TLS Protein Shakes (Creamy Vanilla or Chocolate Delight) for best results. We also recommend the use of tlsSlim.com to build yourself a customized weight loss program including a diet and exercise routine to optimize your health and results.
What if I feel jittery? What do I do?
If you feel jittery, you can cut back to a half serving until you become accustomed to the product. You can also take the product with food and make sure to avoid any other sources of caffeine to reduce any jittery feeling.
Will I feel jittery?
If you are used to drinking coffee or drinks with caffeine, then you should not feel jittery. If you are sensitive to caffeine, you should probably start this product at a half serving and see how you feel.
If I am sensitive to caffeine, can I take this?
